I was the first Cowboy to coin the "Frontier Bowl" name. It was my freshman year at McCollum. The night of the annual Harlandale rivalry gam I called KTFM radio, as they were announcing the scores of other rival city games, "Chili Bowl", "Gucci Bowl", etc. I asked Hot Henrietta and Rick "The Stick" about our score. The "Frontier Bowl" I asked, "You know... the cowboys and indians ?" Since then the rivalry has been known as "The Frontier Bowl".
